hey can we talk about what kate said to derek? “this one grew up in all the right places” like he had physically changed drastically since the last time she saw him and granted he was a teenager and obviously you grow up. but what if derek was this skinny teenager in highschool with zero physique past his supernatural influenced athleticism? what if it started after the fire? derek running and body building and working out relentlessly to feel stronger, to look stronger, so it would never happen again? what if his physique is purely to build himself into a warrior, a weapon because that’s all he can afford to be now?
#this is exactly what I thought #derek is basically the pup/runt of the pack #he’s thin and wry and he has all these strength in him but on the outside he appears weak#and that’s why kate chooses him #she could have chosen one of derek’s brothers#but she picks him #and she breaks him #splinters him and crawls into him and under his flesh #she carves out a space for himself and he can’t believe it #because he’s scrawny and this small thing and here is this gorgeous and witty woman #and he loves her he loves her so much #and she makes him feel like more than he is #and wow okay this is not okay NOT AT ALL

I kind of need Sheriff Stilinski to find out about werewolves so Derek can just start turning up at the Stilinskis all the time. in all the rooms. using all the razors to get that perfect stubble. stealing Stiles’s shirts and stretching them out. eating up all the cereal.
